Match format
Five lines, equal weight
Each matchup has five lines. Every line matters equally: Line 5 can affect the result just as much as Line 1. Captains form the lineup weekly and tell you which line you will play.
Timing
A normal week has one line starting at 7:00 PM, two at 7:30 PM, and the final two around 8:15 PM. The extra games may instead run around 8:30-8:45 PM after the late games finish. Tell your captain which time slots work best for you each week.
Gameplay
Each line plays three doubles games to 11, win by two. Call lets when they occur. The home team serves first in Game 1; the away team chooses its starting side. Switch sides each game. If it is windy, you may agree to switch sides mid-game.
Scoring
Each game win earns one team point. Winning all three games on a line adds a 0.5-point sweep bonus. The weekly winner is the team with the most points across all five lines. Regular-season scoring determines playoff seeds.
Team spirit
Stay for the duration of both team matches if you can. Cheer on your teammates, enjoy the evening, and hang around for more pickleball.
